CY 2027 PFS Final Rule Lands at OMB

The CY 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Final Rule has arrived at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The OMB review is the final step before release.

The PFS final rule is still expected to be released on or around November 1. Generally, the agency sends the rule to OMB in pieces, and this posting indicates that OMB has received the initial sections. The agency may still be drafting and finalizing other parts of the final rule.

The CY 2027 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) Final Rule was posted on the OMB website earlier this month. The OPPS is also expected to be released on or around November 1.
